An excerpt
from Gypsy Princess
"I see a dark future; you have many enemies."
The girl was stone-cold serious.
"You bet I do, honey. Some of them chased us in
here."
She sat back on her heels. "Do not joke. This
is a sacred place, full of powerful magic." She looked all around
the high cavern, the walls painted with ancient depictions of horses and
buffaloes.
"Sorry. Go on. What will my enemies do?"
I tried to look sincere. She was such a pretty girl: dark, heavy-lidded
eyes; a straight, noble nose; full, sensual lips. It was a shame to make
her frown.
I offered my hand again, but Irina caressed it and
let it go. "I don't want to read anymore. I am afraid." Those
dark eyes said she thought I was going to die.
I took her hands in mine now. "Don't worry, princess.
I've got nine lives. I'll get you out of Spain and onto a slow boat to
Canada by tomorrow. I promise."
She looked hopeful, admiring evenperhaps
something more. This was no schoolgirl virgin from Ontario, after
all.
Irina pulled me to her and kissed me on the mouth.
Her lips were soft and wonderful. Then she sat back and opened her dress.
She let the silky fabric slide off her shoulder and reveal her beautiful
breasts. My head swam, looking at her smooth, olive skin; small, dark,
hard nipples. She looked at me shyly. "You kiss me now," she
said.
I pulled her to me and planted a fiery kiss on that
full, moist mouth. She moaned, caressed my back, pulled at my clothes.
I held her bare body in my arms for a long moment, smelling her hair,
feeling her warmth, and her eagerness. Then I sat back and began unbuttoning
my shirt.
